Ranking Member on Health Committee Kwabena Mintah Akandor has asked Ghanaians to lower their expectations ahead of Finance minister Ken Ofori Atta’s appearance before Parliament to answer an urgent question.
According to him the question which was filed by the Majority Chief whip Frank Annoh Dompreh, was not intended to solicit accountability from the Minister.
The Finance minister would appear before Parliament on 22 June 2022 after asking for the postponement of his original appearance scheduled for 16 June 2022.

Speaking in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation on Radio Gold, Kwabena Mintah Akandor said the question the Finance minister would turn up in Parliament to answer is a leading question that may be part of an agenda to cover up.
He said the issues of accountability being raised on COVID expenditure can only be addressed through a bipartisan Parliamentary committee set up to look into the matter.
