Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang will be the first female Vice President in Ghana’s history, responsible for the Ministries of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Education, and Health. This is a significant milestone and a motivating factor for all women in the country.
National Democratic Congress Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama made this announcement while engaging with market women and artisans at Chiana in the Upper East region. He emphasized his concern for Ghanaians, particularly women, who are working hard to support their families amidst the economic challenges caused by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s mismanagement.
Addressing the market women, John Dramani Mahama announced that the new National Democratic Congress government will establish a Women’s Development Bank. This bank will assist women in commerce by facilitating their business activities.
