Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has assured members of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) that the next NDC government will constantly engage stakeholders in the industry and work hand-in-hand with them to ensure socio-economic growth and Development.
“The industrial sector in particular will be resourced with the necessary raw materials to ease costs of production and ensure all year round availability of goods for consumption,” he stated.
The NDC Flagbearer made these comments at a stakeholder engagement in Accra with the members of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).
John Dramani Mahama bemoaned the fact that some industries were producing below capacity due to non-availability of raw materials, access to credit, high utility tariffs, access to market among other factors.
These challenges, according to John Dramani Mahama will be addressed under the implementation of the 24-hour economy.
The former President also indicated that his next administration will exploit the competitive advantage of all regions across the country.
He said his government will also prioritize the establishment of regional industrial hubs.
