President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Kennedy Hedoe, the Greater Accra Regional Deputy Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the Regional Coordinator for the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP).
In his new role, Mr. Hedoe will oversee the supervision and coordination of DRIP operations across all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) within the Greater Accra Region.
He will report directly to the National Director of DRIP, Hon. Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuije.
Announcing the appointment, the Office of the President underscored the government’s focus on accelerating road infrastructure upgrades to boost regional development.
“The appointment of Mr. Hedoe reflects President Mahama’s commitment to ensuring that the District Road Improvement Program is effectively managed to deliver roads that meet the needs of our communities,” the statement read.
Mr. Hedoe expressed his gratitude, pledging to deliver on his mandate.
“I am honoured by this appointment and ready to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that DRIP achieves its objectives in the Greater Accra Region,” he said.
The District Road Improvement Program is a flagship initiative of President Mahama’s administration, designed to rehabilitate and upgrade key road networks to enhance transportation, boost trade, and improve living standards across Ghana.
