245 women who were stuck at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for their failure to pay their bills had an International women’s day to remember after their indebtedness was settled by a group of friends.
The group of friends who were led by Ghana’s Ambassador to Miami-Dede county in the USA Nancy Sam turned up at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital with a cake in hand to celebrate International Women’s Day with the women who were elated at the gesture.

Nancy Sam who is also the President of Women in Tourism and Vice President of ECOWAS Women Association said their move was intended to put a smile on the face of the women who had been held up at the Maternity ward of the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital.
Nancy Sam said their gesture was to provide the relief the women needed to feel special and to impact their lives.
She said the cake was to ensure the women celebrate the day and leave a lasting impact on their faces.
Ms Sam advised the women to do all they can to educate these children and safeguard their future.

The women could not hide their joy at the gesture extended to them in these hard times.
