A Local Government expert Amon Kotei says the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources Cecilia Dapaah needs to come clear on how she arrived at the 85% score for Accra’s cleanliness.
The minister in an interview claimed her outfit has done 85% of the work needed to meet the President’s agenda of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa.

A Local Government expert Amon Kotei however wonders which indicator the minister used in arriving at the conclusion.
He wondered whether the minister was using a citizen’s scorecard or was making his assessment based on service delivery on the sanitation and water sector.
The Local government expert told Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive neither a citizen’s scorecard nor service delivery assessment would have arrived at the 85% score the minister gave her efforts.
Amon Kotei also wants the minister to come clear on the judicial area she was referring to when she mentioned Accra.
He said the area that is referred to as Accra is now host to over 10 municipalities and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly.
Amon Kotei wants the minister to identify the judicial area to which he referred when she said “Accra.”
He also wants the minister to outline the specific interventions by her ministry that have led to virtually making Accra perfectly clean.
The Local Government expert said the minister cannot claim near perfection by just planting waste bins around some parts of the capital.
