President John Dramani Mahama on Monday received a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Presidency in Accra.
The visit formed part of efforts to deepen diplomatic and economic relations between Ghana and the UAE, with discussions centred on expanding cooperation and attracting investment into Ghana’s energy sector.
The UAE delegation is in Ghana to explore investment opportunities in the country’s energy industry and identify areas for enhanced bilateral collaboration that will promote economic growth and sustainable development.
The engagement underscores the growing partnership between Ghana and the United Arab Emirates, as both countries seek to strengthen ties through increased trade, investment, and strategic cooperation.
Government officials say the discussions are expected to pave the way for stronger economic partnerships, particularly in the energy sector, while reinforcing the longstanding cordial relations between the two nations.
