The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening youth entrepreneurship as a key pillar of Ghana’s economic transformation.
Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the Regional Innovation Synergies Conference held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the University of Ghana Business School, Graduate Campus, the NEIP CEO said the event underscored the national determination to empower young innovators.
“It was a distinct honour to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at this important conference,” he said. “The discussions reaffirmed the national focus on youth entrepreneurship as a primary driver of economic resilience and growth.”
He noted that national entrepreneurship initiatives are intentionally shaping a new generation of job creators by inspiring the “Adwumawura spirit” among the youth.
“I was pleased to share perspectives on how our strategic national programmes are empowering young people by instilling the ‘Adwumawura’ spirit the crucial ambition to be a successful job creator,” he stated.
The CEO praised the participants, describing the level of engagement as a strong indicator of Ghana’s growing innovation culture.
“The quality of dialogue and the commitment to innovation demonstrated by the attendees were truly inspiring,” he said.
He further emphasized NEIP’s commitment to strengthening platforms that equip young entrepreneurs with the tools, networks, and opportunities they need to scale their ideas.
“We remain dedicated to supporting platforms that nurture and scale the entrepreneurial ambition of the Ghanaian youth, recognizing their pivotal role in securing a prosperous national future,” he added.
He concluded by commending the organizers for hosting a “highly successful and impactful conference,” noting that such platforms are crucial to building a forward-looking entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ghana.
