Ex-Ghana international, Sam Johnson has urged Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo to select the right players with the right mentality for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana qualified for its fourth global football festival after edging out Nigeria with an away goal rule.
The four time African champions are paired in Group E alongside nemesis, Uruguay and Portugal as well as South Korea.
Sam Johnson made the comments on Thursday’s edition of the Radio Gold SportTalk.
“We have to find the real people who want to play for Ghana.
“The real people is that, some people will come and play at the World Cup and after the World Cup when you call them, I have injury.
“When you call them this is happening but when it’s getting to the World Cup they start to get well.
“It’s not only about the FA, it’s about Ghana in general that is how we are and so we have to look at those things and see how best we will go about it.
“It’s all about making sure that after the World Cup we will still have this people so that we move Ghana forward as far as football is concerned.” Sam Johnson told Radio Gold SportTalk.
