He urged residents to rise above past conflicts and grievances, stressing that choosing peace is an act of strength and courage, not weakness.
Mahama warned that the government’s ambitious commitments will mean little if communities remain divided by violence.
He emphasized the importance of seeking justice for victims and restoring peace in Bawku.
The President acknowledged the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his role in facilitating peace talks and expressed optimism that all parties involved will approach negotiations with an open mind and a genuine desire for peace.
