The Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skills Development Programme (rCOMSDEP) has joined the implementation of the GWYESCO Programme, a major socio-economic empowerment initiative spearheaded by SIF Ghana with funding support from the African Development Bank (AfDB).
The programme is designed to create sustainable economic opportunities for women, young people, persons living with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups by equipping them with practical skills, enterprise development support, and pathways to long-term livelihoods.

Under the partnership, rCOMSDEP will leverage its expertise in Mining Support Services, Cooperative Mining Schemes, and Vocational Training and Entrepreneurship Development to help beneficiaries acquire marketable skills and access economic opportunities capable of transforming their lives.
The organisation indicated that its involvement in the programme aligns with its broader mission of promoting responsible mining, skills development, and community empowerment as tools for inclusive economic growth.

Through training, business support, entrepreneurship development, and community-based interventions, rCOMSDEP aims to strengthen the capacity of beneficiaries to build resilient livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to local economic development.
The partnership represents an important step towards expanding opportunities for underserved populations while supporting efforts to reduce poverty, unemployment, and economic exclusion in communities across Ghana.

With support from the African Development Bank and the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders, the GWYESCO Programme is expected to deliver measurable impact, empower vulnerable groups, and create sustainable pathways to prosperity for thousands of beneficiaries nationwide.
rCOMSDEP expressed confidence that the initiative will help transform lives while advancing a shared vision of inclusive development and economic empowerment across Ghana.
