The Embassy of Ghana in Washington, DC, has announced plans to revive its Mobile Consular Services in October 2025 to bring passport and visa services closer to Ghanaian communities across the United States.
The initiative, suspended in recent years, forms part of efforts to enhance service delivery at the Mission following a restructuring exercise.

Deputy Head of Consular Affairs at the Embassy, Mr. Tsatsu Selormey, made the announcement during GhanaFest’25 held in Dallas, Texas, on September 20. He disclosed that full consular services had now been restored, with a renewed commitment to efficiency and transparency.
“The outreach programme will enable our teams to visit different communities to provide consular support, including passport renewals, visa applications, and other related services,” Mr. Selormey said.

He cautioned against the use of middlemen, urging applicants to deal directly with the Embassy to ensure prompt and accurate services. He also encouraged Ghanaians in the diaspora to strengthen community bonds, support one another, and proudly project Ghana as a destination for investment and tourism.
Mr. Selormey assured that the Mission is “fully prepared and committed to serving the Ghanaian community and the wider diasporan public to the very best of its ability.”

GhanaFest’25, organised by the Council of Ghanaian Associations (COGA-DFW), brought together chiefs, leaders of ethnic associations, and vendors of Ghanaian goods and services. The festival provided a platform to celebrate Ghanaian heritage through culture, music, dance, and cuisine, drawing participants from across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
