Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has described Ghana’s recent economic stability as clear evidence of God’s favour upon the nation through Prez. Mahama
Speaking during the church’s 2025 Christmas celebration, the outspoken cleric pointed to the relative strength of the cedi against the US dollar and the improved ease with which many Ghanaians marked the festive season as signs of a recovering economy.
According to him, reduced financial pressure enabled more families to enjoy Christmas compared with previous years.
“Look at the blessings of God upon Ghana; whether you like it or not, it is a fact that cannot be denied,”
he told congregants.“Look at the cedi’s performance against the dollar this Christmas. Ghanaians have really enjoyed this year’s Christmas.”
Reverend Owusu Bempah also linked the perceived economic improvement to leadership he described as spiritually grounded, commending President John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President for what he said was their commitment to prayer and divine guidance.
“The President and his Vice President can pray for over two hours for Ghana. The President believes in divinity, and the way I see it, Ghana is going to get better,”
he added.
His remarks come amid ongoing national debate over the state of the economy, with religious leaders increasingly weighing in on governance and economic stewardship from the pulpit.
