Five newly appointed envoys have presented their letters of credence to President John Dramani Mahama at a brief but significant ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The envoys are H.E. Diarra Dime Labille, Ambassador-Designate of France; H.E. Rui Orlando Ferreira de Ceita da Silva Xavier, Ambassador-Designate of the Angola; H.E. Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata, High Commissioner-Designate of the Namibia; H.E. Jacquiline Natepi Ben Lochalamoi, Ambassador-Designate of the South Sudan; and H.E. Cong Song, Ambassador-Designate of the China.
Presenting their credentials, the envoys conveyed warm greetings from their respective Heads of State and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and enhancing cooperation with Ghana.
President Mahama, in his remarks, welcomed the envoys to Ghana and assured them of his government’s readiness to work closely with their respective countries to deepen bilateral relations.
“Ghana remains committed to fostering strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with your countries. We will continue to create an enabling environment for trade, investment, and cultural exchange,” he stated.
He further underscored the importance of diplomacy in addressing global challenges, including economic recovery, climate change, and regional security.
The President also encouraged the envoys to explore opportunities in key sectors of the Ghanaian economy, including agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and tourism.
The presentation of credentials formally recognises the envoys as representatives of their respective countries, granting them full authority to undertake diplomatic duties in Ghana.
