Former National Deputy Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Vida Addae, has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of National Vice Chairperson of the party, citing years of dedicated service and extensive consultations with party members as the motivation behind her decision.
According to Madam Addae, the decision follows numerous appeals from grassroots members, friends, and party faithful across the country, coupled with careful reflection on the future of the party.
“In response to the numerous calls from our dedicated grassroots, friends and party faithful, and after careful introspection and extensive consultations with the rank and file of our great party, I have decided to officially declare my intention to contest for the position of National Vice Chairperson,” she stated.
Madam Addae said her confidence to seek the position stems from the wealth of experience she has accumulated through serving the NDC in several leadership roles over the years.

She highlighted her service as Chapter Chairperson in Germany, Parliamentary Candidate for Ejisu, National Deputy Treasurer, and National Director of Welfare, among other responsibilities.
She noted that these positions have given her a deep understanding of the party’s operations and the needs of its members at both the grassroots and national levels.
“Having served our party in diverse leadership capacities, I am convinced that I have gained the experience, competence, and commitment required to answer the call to serve once again,” she said.
Madam Addae stressed that strengthening the party’s grassroots structures would remain at the centre of her leadership agenda if elected.
She pledged to prioritise grassroots mobilisation, resource mobilisation, fundraising, capacity building for party faithful, and continuous engagement with members across the country.
“My experiences in grassroots mobilisation, fundraising, equipping party faithful, and maintaining daily interactions with our grassroots have prepared me to help strengthen our party, deepen our ideology, and continue attracting the best people into our tradition,” she added.
She further called on delegates, party faithful, and supporters to unite behind her vision of building a stronger, more united, and electorally successful party.
“I humbly seek the support, confidence, and prayers of delegates, party faithful, friends, and well-wishers as I aspire to serve as the next National Vice Chairperson.
Together, we can strengthen our structures, promote unity, and position our great party for even greater success.”
Madam Addae’s declaration adds to the growing contest for key national executive positions ahead of the NDC’s forthcoming national delegates’ congress, where party delegates will elect a new national leadership to steer the affairs of the party.
