Congratulations to Acting IGP Mr Oppong Boanuh
It’s well deserved.
When it comes to police administration issues, procedures and protocols, he’s second to none.
I’m however not comfortable with this acting thing because it doesn’t give him the necessary confidence to work. Besides, it gives his competitors the urge to continue to lobby and pull him down with the view to taking over.
It further compels the acting IGP to always look over his shoulders to see whether he’s pleasing his masters.
In my opinion, the president should have appointed him with a contract of say Jan 2021 to enable him plan his tenure and also silence all competitors and politicians.
All the same I wish him well. I pray that he’ll live above all kinds of pettiness in the police service.
