Founding President of IMANI Africa Franklin Cudjoe says the call by 80 NPP MPs for the replacement of the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta and Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance Charles Adu Boahen is the clearest, boldest statement of the fourth republic.
According to him the call is one of the “small mercies” that the Ghanaian should be grateful for.
Mr. Cudjoe was speaking to Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation in reaction to the threat by the 80 MPs to boycott the 2023 budget reading and government business if the two men are not removed.
The MPs believe the sacking of the two men would help breathe new life into the Ghanaian economy.
Founding President of IMANI, a think tank Mr. Franklin Cudjoe says the NPP MPs call amounted to a coup.
He said even though he picked hints of such rumblings within the NPP, he was taken aback by the bravado of the MPs.
