Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has been rushed to hospital after falling ill during his side’s Ghana Premier League game against Elmina Sharks on Wednesday.
Boadu didn’t return to the bench for the second half and it was reported that the tactician had to be taken to the hospital for medical care.
His assistant Hamza Obeng has taken charge, directing affairs from the touchline as the Phobians chase their first win of the season.
It’s unclear the cause of the illness and Boadu apparently showed no sign of being unwell prior to the start of the match at the Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina.
Hearts’ title defence has gotten off to a disappointing start and is currently lying last on the table despite having three outstanding games.
