The Vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has called on Ghanaians particularly sympathizers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to critically assess their living conditions and make informed decisions in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Speaking during a community engagement at Breman Baako as part of her tour of the Central Region, Professor Opoku-Agyemang said this year’s election presents a golden opportunity for Ghanaians who have faced economic challenges over the past eight years under President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Alhaji Bawumia.
She called on citizens to reflect on their circumstances and choose a party that genuinely represents their interests.
Additionally, she reached out to supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who may be disillusioned with the current administration’s performance and encouraged them to reconsider their voting choices and support the NDC in addressing the country’s economic woes.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang challenged both loyalists of the governing party and undecided voters to consider voting against the NPP in the forthcoming elections.
At Agona Mankrong in the Agona East constituency, she reiterated the NDC’s commitment to conducting peaceful elections, insisting that “the time for change is now.”
At Gomoa Aboso in the Gomoa Central Constituency, she told citizens to reject vote-buying tactics often employed by the NPP.
She warned that such inducements ultimately lead to increased hardships and hinder meaningful development and improved quality of life.
