Three time Independent Presidential candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah (JOY) has commended the leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) former President John Mahama for his contribution to the fight against COVID-19.
The NDC Flagbearer has led his party to undertake a continuous donation of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) to various health facilities across the country; an exercise which has helped to ensure that health workers across the country are prepared as the pandemic assumes a national proportion.
Former President Mahama also kicked off an exercise to donate food items to 20,000 households in Accra and Kumasi.
The former President has also inaugurated a COVID-19 technical advisory team which has so far submitted two papers to government proposing ways through which the fight against the global pandemic can be strengthened in Ghana.

Speaking to Sena Nombo on the Gold Power Drive, Joseph Osei Yeboah said such interventions by the Flagbearer of the NDC deserved applause considering the fact that he did not control Ghana’s revenue sources and was therefore funding them through private sources.
Key government spokespersons have sought to downplay the contributions of the former President but JOY says such a posture is unnecessary considering the fight against the pandemic required an “all hands on deck” approach.
