Pressure group Democracy Hub has plans to embark on a sustained one month picketing of the seat of the Presidency Jubilee to pile pressure on the presidency following the #OccupyJolorbiHouse protest.
Ahead of the 31-day protests, they are calling for the resignation of President Akufo-Addo.
In a press release issued on October 9, 2023 Democracy Hub said their picketing from December 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023 is to demand the President’s resignation.
The pressure group said the demand and protests have become necessary in the wake of the economic mismanagement that has jeopardized the future of the youth and pushed many people into poverty in the country.
Democracy Hub called on the Presidency to start packing his bags and exit the Presidency.
“The Democracy Hub demands urgent prosecution of corrupt officials, including individuals in the President’s family and inner circle, who have contributed to what has been described by a former cabinet minister as ‘a friends, family, and concubines Government,’” the release stated.
