Residents of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi, and Likpe (SALL) have pledged to deliver 99% of their votes to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections.
The NDC’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Thursday visited the area as part of her two-day tour of the Oti Region where she was met with enthusiasm and gratitude by community members.
The residents expressed their appreciation for the NDC’s efforts in advocating for their voting rights, which were restricted in the 2020 elections as they were not allowed to elect an MP.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang urged the residents to reciprocate the party’s efforts by casting their votes massively for the NDC presidential Candidate, John Mahama and all parliamentary Candidates contesting the elections.
She said it was important for the people of SALL to fully exercise their voting rights and make their voices heard in the upcoming elections.
The Paramount Chief of the Likpe Traditional Area, Nana Soglo Alloh IV, also expressed his community’s determination to deliver 99% of their votes to the NDC.
He conveyed to Professor Opoku-Agyemang that “your expectations are our expectations.”
The party has promised to prioritize the needs of the people of the four traditional areas that make up the Guan constituency and work towards creating a more equitable society.
Former National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo said the NDC was confident of receiving overwhelming support from the SALL residents and other communities across the country.
