Eric Ten Hag, Coach of Manchester United has set his eyes on his former boy, Mohammed Kudus, telling Ajax he needs the services of the talisman at Old Trafford. After securing the services of Gakpo, Liverpool has also added Kudus to their target.
This is according to the latest gist from Fabrizio Romano via GiveMeSport who says Ten Hag wants to bolster his squad when the winter window opens for business at the turn of the year with the signing of Mohammed Kudus.
Manchester United are expected to cough out approximately £35Million to convince Ajax to release their important forward.
A move to Merseyside could be on the cards as Liverpool want the 22-year-old Kudus’ signature.
Kudus’ agent has already been in talks with Borrusia Dortmund and is said to have made good progress since before the World Cup when Everton wanted Kudus.
But now Manchester United has shown keen interest to sign Kudus with Liverpool in tow.
Ten Hag who had wanted to prise off Kudus from Ajax earlier hesitated due to injury fears for Kudus but that has since been relegated to the background after a series of top performances by Kudus without hurting even a nail.
The Athletic also reported that Eric ten Hag “is an admirer of Kudus’ skill and dynamism, which has resulted in him working his way onto Manchester United’s radar.
The report suggests adding a forward to the squad is a priority for the Red Devils’ chief as the opening of the January transfer window draws closer, while a number of new analysts have been employed to identify potential arrivals.
Kudus is eager to leave Ajax during the early stages of 2023 and it is understood that he will not be offloaded for less than £35million, while reliable journalist Dean Jones recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea are not leading the race to reach an agreement.”
