Ghananians are demanding the immediate resignation of the members of the Ghana Beyond Aid committee.
This is after an apology from the committee for copying the skyline of Kenya as a cover page for the Ghana Beyond Aid document which was launched by president Akoto Addo on May day.
The essence of the srategic document according to the president is to create a nation that would be self sufficient and prosperous, governed according to the rule of law, respect for human rights an individual liberties as well as the principles of democratic accountability.
Hours after the launch of the document by the president, social media went haywire pointing out a huge error commited by the committee that was tasked to put the strategic document together. The front page cover of the document presented as Ghanain was the skyline of Kenya.
An action many described as embarrassing to the country and deceitful on the part of the committee.
As the public continue to get angry at the development, the committee issued an apology letter for their error.
This however seems not to be enough as some Ghanains are calling for the immediate resignation of the members of the committee.
Member of Parliament for Kumbugu, Ras Mubarak is one of those who believes members of the Ghana Beyond Aid committee must resign.
He posted on his Facebook wall “Members of the now famously incompetent Ghana Beyond Aid Committee. They committed such an egregious blunder, and ought to resign for embarrassing our country”.
