The Chief of the Gbawe Traditional Area, Nii Boi Kojo II, has commended the executives of the Young Progressive Network (YPN), a civil society organization operating in the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, for their bold initiative aimed at empowering the youth through vocational and technical skills development, while supporting local sanitation initiatives.
Nii Boi Kojo II made this commendation when the YPN leadership paid a courtesy call on him and his elders at his palace.
The organization has been providing sanitation logistics to Assembly Members to enhance community clean-up exercises and promote a cleaner environment.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the visit, a principal elder of the Gbawe Traditional Area, Enoch Kwatelai Quartey, expressed profound appreciation to the YPN executives for their dedication to youth transformation and community development.
Mr. Quartey encouraged the Young Progressive Network to deepen its collaboration with the Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, Hon. Jerry Ahmed Shaib, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey, Assembly Members, and other key stakeholders to achieve its objectives.
He further called on the youth of Gbawe and surrounding communities to take advantage of these vocational and technical training opportunities.
According to him, such initiatives not only secure the future of the youth but also encourage active participation in community development and environmental sanitation, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more vibrant local economy.
