Ghana Post brought together staff, partners, customers and dignitaries for a serene and uplifting celebration of its Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols, marking the organisation’s annual moment of reflection, thanksgiving and renewed commitment to public service.

Held in an atmosphere of music, scripture and fellowship, the event blended tradition with corporate purpose as Ghana Post used the occasion to celebrate the meaning of Christmas while reaffirming its dedication to serving communities across the country.

The service featured the traditional nine Bible readings tracing the story of creation, prophecy and the birth of Christ. These were interspersed with Christmas hymns, choral performances and musical renditions that filled the audience with warmth and anticipation for the festive season.

Managing Director Rita Sraha, addressing attendees, said the event was more than a ceremonial gathering. She described it as a reminder of Ghana Post’s values: service, loyalty, reliability and community, which she believes must guide the organisation as it modernises and expands.

“Christmas teaches us about hope, compassion and responsibility,” she said, adding that: “these values are at the heart of our work at Ghana Post. As we celebrate today, we renew our commitment to serving every household, business and community with excellence.”

She highlighted the significance of ending the year in worship and gratitude, noting that Ghana Post has navigated both triumphs and challenges in 2024. The Carols service, she said, offered an opportunity to look ahead with optimism while appreciating the support of customers and partners who continue to place their confidence in the national postal operator.

The event also honoured the contributions of Ghana Post staff, whose dedication keeps the organisation’s nationwide network running, from frontline tellers and EMS riders to sorting teams, digital service operators and regional offices.

Choral groups delivered stirring performances of classic hymns while staff volunteers presented the nine scripture readings with reverence and symbolism.

Ms. Sraha encouraged Ghanaians to embrace the season with kindness and generosity, noting that Ghana Post remains committed to ensuring that letters, parcels and festive deliveries reach families across the country safely and on time.

“As we share in the joy of Christmas, let us remember the power of connection. Every delivery we make carries warmth, goodwill and the reminder that someone, somewhere, cares,” she said.
