The Ghana Tourism Authority in partnership with Arash Motors TVS Limited have unvield a captivating initiative dubbed Africa on Apache, an exercise targeted at promoting and boosting Ghana’s tourism sector through Motorsport.
In a press conference on the Influential Indian Motographer, Sundeep Gajjar’s visit to Ghana at the Accra Tourist Information Centre, it was disclosed that this initiative aims to spotlight Ghana’s rich heritage through motography, a specialty in capturing motion and movements thereby providing visual guides to viewers.
Addressing the media, the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Tourism Authority, Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi says this partnership is a testament to the GTA’s commitment to modernizing Ghana’s tourism promotions and aligns with the Authority’s vision to position Ghana above other destinations across the continent through digital marketing and influencer engagement.
According to him, the internationally acclaimed travel influencer, Sundeep Gajjar has an incredible influence particularly on social media and holds the power to offer potential tourists an immersive preview of various destinations and tourist sites, allowing them to ‘experience’ it even before arriving.
” Sundeep Gajjar has massive followers on social media particularly Instagram”, he stated. “He will be exploring key tourist sites and attractions across Ghana. The contents of these key historical and cultural sites will therefore be distributed through various social media platforms, amplifying Ghana’s visibility in the global travel community. The Influencer’s content will reach millions of followers worldwide, thereby encouraging international travelers to explore Ghana’s cultural wealth”.
The motographer, Sundeep Gajjar also believes that as part of the Black Star Experience, Ghana, through its unique history with India has the potential to promote its culture and hospitality with motorcycles. He entreated the youth to practice safer ways of riding on highways while urging strict execution of laws on safety on our roads.
” Here, we are trying to show that Ghana is a very hospitable country, the roads are good, you can do motorcycling and if you can do motorcycling, you can also drive cars, this is how we want it and hope it will impact even if it is one percent of the population”, he said. ” There is nothing called “reckless”, it is how you implement safety on roads. When riding a motorcycle, you should know that if you fall you can kill yourself or if it’s a car, you can kill someone else. The next step is to stop selling “motorcycles” and sell safety”.
Present at the event were the Former Indian Ambassador, Mike Ocquaye Jnr and the Chief Executive Officer of Arash Motors TVS Ltd, Dharamveer Singh Shekhawat.
