Henry Quartey leads soldiers to demolish all private property on 200 acres of CSIR land

Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey said: “On Wednesday 22 June 2022, I led members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) to conduct a demolition exercise on 200 acres of fenced state-owned land under the auspices of the Security Council. Scientific and Industrial Research (CSRI)

”. In a Facebook post, he said, “Of the 1,300+ acres of CSIR land, more than 900 acres have been occupied and the remaining 200 have been sold by unknown parties.”

Landowners urged to receive assistance from the Land Commission to help them obtain executive instruments who would otherwise be able to register their property in their name as none of them has documents or permits after over 20 years of construction”.
