Betty Krosbi Mensah has disclosed an apology from the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Jean Adukwei Mensah in the wake of the controversial decision to hold the ongoing limited voter registration exercise at its district offices.
The MP revealed that the Chairperson made the apology during a phone conversation in response to a petition they sent to her office.
Narrating the incident to Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation Betty Krosbi Mensah said she sent a petition to the office of the Chairperson of the EC to draw her attention to the nature of her constituency.
The Afram Plains North MP said the structure of the registration exercise makes it extremely difficult for many of her constituents to participate in the exercise.
She said the EC Boss called to admit the difficulties of which she complained and apologize.
Ms Krosbi Mensah said the EC Chairperson disclosed that she could not do anything about her germane concerns.
The MP said she was waiting for a formal letter from the EC to her petition as an apology would not solve her problem.
Ms Krosbi Mensah admitted that it was near impossible for her to assist all her constituents that needed help to register as logistical needs are massive.
She told Sena Nombo that she needed help to ensure that all constituents interested in registering do so.
