John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stressed the importance of an attitudinal reset in Ghana, alongside economic and governance reforms. He explained that his “Building the Ghana we want” campaign requires a fundamental transformation of the nation’s attitude, governance, and economy.
Mahama noted that many have misunderstood his reset message as solely focusing on the economy. However, he clarified that resetting Ghana encompasses various aspects, including attitude, governance, and economy. He emphasized that attitude, in particular, cannot be upgraded but rather reset and corrected.
Mahama’s comments were in response to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s statement that Ghana’s economy needs an upgrade, not a reset. Mahama argued that governance has gone astray and requires a reset, and that this can only be achieved with the support of all citizens.
By highlighting the need for an attitudinal reset, Mahama is emphasizing the importance of a collective mindset shift in driving meaningful change in Ghana. His message is a call to action for Ghanaians to join him in transforming the country’s trajectory.
