The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold (CACM) has declared their interest in the impending “KUM YEN PREKO” demonstration of the Coalition of Social Justice (CSJ).
Their decision to join the demonstration is borne out off their belief in the objectives of the demonstration as it also gives them the platform to protest against what they call the “insensitivity and failure of the Akuffo addo government to address our concerns in the matter of locked-up funds of customers of Menzgold”.
This was contained in a statement issued yesterday by their leadership.
The aggrieved customers have therefore indicated their full participation in the demonstration which comes off on July 9, 2019.
The customers of the non-operational gold dealership firm have had their principal investments and interests locked up since August 2018 after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ordered the firm to cease operations over regulatory infractions.
“KUM YEN PREKO” is a demonstration organized by the Coalition for Social Justice (CJS) aimed at fighting hardships and insecurity being experienced under the government of President Akuffo Addo. It is slated on 9th July, 2019.
