It remains unclear whether Parliament will shelve the plan to construct a new chamber in parliament after the Majority Leader of the house Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu indicated that the concerns of the Public will be taken on board.
Ghanaians are demanding that government shelve the plan which has already seen the unveiling of a design.
The new chamber will cost over $240 million, an expenditure that has incurred the wrath of Ghanaians who have described it as a misplaced priority.

Addressing the media on the new chamber earlier today, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu described Ghanaians as critical stakeholders of parliament whose concerns will be taken on board.
He also apologized to Members of Parliament for failing to keep them informed on plans to construct the new chamber before it got into the public domain.
