Newly appointed Director in charge of Legal of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Godwin Edudzi Kudzo Tamakloe has accused the Ghana Police Service of playing on the emotional keyboards of Ghana’s courts.
Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe disclosed this in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation on Radio Gold in response to the decision of the Police to seek a court order to compel the Occupy Bank of Ghana demonstrators to change their chosen routes.
The police made the move after the protestors rejected the suggestion of the Ghana Police Service for them to change the route chosen for the demonstration.
Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe says the application of the police would be challenged as it was emotional blackmail.
He said there was no merit to the application as the routes in question had been used in past demonstrations.
The National Democratic Congress led by the Minority in Ghana’s Parliament and some interest groups plan to demonstrate in demand for the resignation of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Ernest Addison and his deputies in the wake of the announcement of 60 Billion cedis losses by the Central Bank
