Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South constituency, Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije has said all projects particularly roads and drainage systems in his constituency started by the erstwhile Mahama government have been totally abandoned by the Nana Addo government.
Dr. Okoe Vanderpuije who was not impressed with the performance of the Nana Addo government accused the NPP of paying lip service to developmental projects in his constituency.
He accused the ruling New Patriotic Party government for failing to honor promises made to his constituents to complete all unfinished infrastructural projects started under the former administration.
He said insisted the NPP has failed his constituents, stating that there was an urgent need for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to come back to power to continue and complete all the left-to-rot projects in his constituency to ease the suffering of people living in and around Ablekuma South.
“Look at the drains in Ablekuma South they are where I left it, we need to come back. Banana inn, new Mamprobi all the way to Chorkor into the korle lagoon we need to come back and continue it to control flooding within this constituency”.
“Look at the road conditions of Ablekuma South and tell me when the last time an asphalt was rolled in Ablekuma South?, it is what I left it, no new addition so we have to come back take it from where we left off and continue the development”.

Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije said this Sunday when he filled his nomination forms to contest the NDC primaries in the Ablekuma South constituency.
Excited party supporters wearing T-shirt with inscription #RetainTsentseFor2024 followed Oko Vanderpuije as he passed through Chorkor, Agege to the NDC Ablekuma South party office at Mamprobi where he handed over his forms the party officials.
Oko Vanderpuije was emphatic, he would win a re-election with a landslide, flaunting his competency and growing influence over the years.
Oko Vanderpuije called for unity and hardwork ahead of election 2024 starting that there was a need for Ghanaians to give the former president John Dramanai Mahama a second chance to fix the broken economy.
“There are schools that have challenges in this constituency, be it furniture, the millennium city schools that we constructed needs to be rehabilitated, new schools will have to be constructed”.
