The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Opoku-Agyemang is set to begin a three-day campaign tour of the Western North Region on Tuesday, where she will engage with constituents and rally support for the party’s presidential and parliamentary candidates ahead of the upcoming elections.
During her tour, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will visit several constituencies, including Aowin, Suaman, Bodi, Bia East, Bia West, Sefwi Wiawso, Sefwi Akontombra, and Bibiani Ahwiaso Bekwai.
Her campaign message will focus on the NDC’s strategic plan to “reset” the country, which includes creating job opportunities, revitalizing the cocoa sector, enhancing the quality of education, and promoting women’s financial empowerment through the proposed establishment of a Women’s Development Bank.
As part of her itinerary, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang will kick off her campaign activities on Monday with a speech at the NDC women’s conference in Kumasi.
The conference is expected to discuss the NDC’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Later in the day, she will travel to Ayamfuri Community Centre, where she will formally launch the campaign of the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the Upper Denkyira West Constituency.
The NDC has intensified its campaign efforts to secure votes in the Western North Region, an area seen as pivotal for the NDC’s victory.
