Ghana coach Otto Addo on Friday named a 55-man preliminary squad for the World Cup in Qatar this month.

The final squad will be announced by 14 November, the deadline by which FIFA must receive final lists.
Captain Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus lead the pack in the team selection.
The list also featured three locally-based players; Asante Kotoko’s Ibrahim Danlad and Hearts of Oak duo Dennis Korsah and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
Nordsjaelland’s Nuamah Appiah, Mudasiru Salifu, Patrick Kpozo, Salis Abdul Samed got their first call-ups to the team.
Surprisingly, Ludogorets forward Bernard Tekpetey and SV Darmstadt 98 defended Patric Pfeiffer did not make the squad.
Otto Addo is expected to trim it down to 26 players that will represent Ghana in Qatar.
The World Cup will start on November 20 with Ghana opening their campaign four days later against Portugal.
Black Stars will also play South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.
