The running mate of John Mahama, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang is set to embark on a 8-day campaign tour a across four regions in the northern part of the country, including the North East region, the home territory of vice president and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Alhaji Bawumia.
The tour, scheduled from November 13 to November 23, will also cover the Savannah Region, the Upper West Region and the Northern Region.
During the tour, professor Opoku Agyemang will engage with various professional groups, traditional leaders, party faithful, and the general public.
She is expected to present the NDC’s vision for the upcoming 2024 elections and encourage citizens to vote for John Dramani Mahama as Ghana’s next president, as well as support parliamentary candidates contesting the elections on the ticket of the NDC.
The Northern tour follows Professor Opoku Agyemang’s recent visit to the Volta Region where she urged residents to turn out in large numbers on election day to secure a decisive victory for the NDC.
