Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan says President Akufo-Addo sounds like her presidency ended in 2019.
According to him the President seems to suggest that COVID-19 and Russia-Ukraine conflict have been in control of Ghana since 2020.

The Cape Coast South MP was speaking in an interview with Sena Nombo on the Gold Morning Conversation on Radio Gold.
George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan was reacting to President Akufo-Addo’s 2023 State of the Nation’s Address in which he insisted that COVID-19 and Russia-Ukraine conflict was to be blamed for the dire state of Ghana’s economy.
Addressing Parliament on 8 March 2023, President Akufo-Addo said Ghana was on the right course before the onset of COVID-19.
He said the Russia-Ukraine conflict has compounded the issue.
Commenting on the President’s claim, George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan wondered whether President Akufo-Addo is denying be in charge of the country since 2020.
