The Head Coach of Black Bombers, Ofori Asare, believes determination and the purpose through unification of the boxing team at the Commonwealth Games help secured medals for his team.
Coach Asare, acknowledged shortcomings from his camp was overcrowded due to the fact that his boxers aligned to instructions.
“We were able to do it based on togetherness, how we were working together, some kind of unity of purpose as well”.
“ It’s determination. I’ve been around for long, I have experienced, I’ve been exposed to this situations, several times”.
“We worked on the minds of the boxers psychologically, so that they forget about their problems and concentrate on what is ahead of them”.
Ghana picked five medals with boxing accumulating three medals.
