Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has paid a courtesy visit to the Oguaa Omanhen, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, at the historic Emintsimadze Palace as part of her working tour of the Central Region.
The Vice President, who was warmly received by the paramount chief, queen mothers, the Central Regional Minister, metropolitan, municipal, and district chief executives (MMDCEs), as well as other traditional leaders, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Oguaa for their unwavering support during the 2025 general elections.
She also extended appreciation for the goodwill messages and prayers offered to her since assuming office as Ghana’s first female Vice President.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang underscored the critical role of unity and collective effort in building a prosperous nation. She called for deeper collaboration between traditional authorities and the government to drive inclusive national development.
“We must work together, hand in hand, to shape a Ghana where every citizen feels included and empowered,” she said.
In response, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II praised the Vice President’s dedication and service to Ghana, describing her as a “proud daughter of Oguaa.” He pledged the continuous support of the Oguaa Traditional Area for her leadership and national agenda.
Background and Upcoming Engagements
The Vice President is on a regional tour ahead of this year’s Pan-African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST), which kicks off tomorrow in Cape Coast.
As part of her visit, she is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Komenda Traditional Area, Okatakyi Komeh VIII, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
