John Mahama’s Women’s Development Bank initiative aims to empower women in entrepreneurship and business, facilitating socioeconomic development and improved livelihoods.
The policy, a flagship program in the NDC’s 2024 manifesto, will provide loans to 200,000 women annually.
This initiative is part of Mahama’s broader vision to promote gender equality and women’s economic empowerment.
He has also pledged to increase women’s representation in Parliament, district assemblies, and leadership roles across all sectors.
Other key policies highlighted by Mahama include the 24-hour economy policy, No fee stress policy, free tertiary education for persons living with disabilities, National Apprenticeship Program, Agro-Processing Zone, and Farmers Service Centres.
