The Young Progressive Network (YPN) has officially introduced its operations to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey.
The delegation, led by the Convener of the Network, Patrick Asford Boadu, paid a courtesy call on the MCE at his office to formally present the objectives, activities, and contributions of the Network towards community development.
Members of the delegation included Dr. Mathew Acquah Nuhu, Ernest Ato Essuman Ekwam, Prince Achiglo, Belinda Yaa Etti, Freda Ofori, and Joseph Attoh.
Mr. Boadu explained that the President and Vice President of the Network, Lawyer Samuel Chaitey Barketey and Lawyer Edward Yaw Udzu and Nii Saka Allotey the Chief Patron for YPN were unable to attend the meeting as they were out of the jurisdiction.
Highlighting the Network’s activities, Mr. Boadu noted that the Young Progressive Network has so far sponsored five individuals through catering training and launched an initiative to support Assembly Members across all fourteen electoral areas in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality.
“Our target is to support Assembly Members with sanitation logistics to facilitate community clean-up exercises,” he stated.
He further indicated the Network’s readiness to serve on the Municipal Assembly’s Sanitation Taskforce if inaugurated, emphasizing that YPN is committed to complementing the MCE’s efforts in ensuring a cleaner environment.
“The Young Progressive Network is poised and ready to support the Municipal Chief Executive in executing his sanitation agenda to make the Weija-Gbawe Municipality the cleanest in the Greater Accra Region,” Mr. Boadu affirmed.
