The Young Progressive Network (YPN), a Civil Society Organization dedicated to grassroots development, has donated essential environmental sanitation logistics to the Assembly Member for Gbawe West Electoral Area, Hon. Amina Issah, and her unit committee members.
The gesture, part of YPN’s Logistics Support Initiative for all Assembly Members within the Weija-Gbawe Municipality, aims to facilitate community clean-up exercises and strengthen local sanitation drives.
Speaking at the presentation, YPN Convener Patrick Asford Boadu said the donation reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting Assembly Members and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Felix Odartey Lamptey, in achieving a cleaner and healthier municipality.
“This initiative is to empower our local leaders and communities with the tools they need to promote sustainable sanitation practices,” Boadu stated.
The Gbawe West Assembly Member, Hon. Amina Issah, expressed her appreciation, praising YPN for its consistent support to the community.
“This gesture will go a long way to enhance our regular clean-up activities and make our electoral area a model of cleanliness,” she said.
The YPN has previously extended similar support to other electoral areas, including Oblogo (Hon. Abdulai Tei Nene), Gbawe East (Hon. Benjamin Ken Lartey), and even the Assembly Member aspirant for Mallam East, Shadrak Amartei Armah.
Ward Coordinator Mr. Bonney Amewusika also commended YPN’s leadership, thanking its President, Lawyer Samuel Chaitey Barketey, and Vice President, Lawyer Edward Yaw Udzu, for championing this laudable initiative.
