Secretary General of the Ghana co-operatives Council, Albert Akwasi Boakye has challenged government to involve the Council in the execution of its flagship programs of industrialization and planting for foods and Jobs.
He is confident such a partnership would better the fortunes of these flagship programs.
Albert Akwasi Boakye says the council has the structures on the ground to partner government to deliver on these promises at the various districts of the country.
The Secretary General of the Ghana co-operatives Council Albert Akwasi Boakye was speaking at an event to mark the centenary celebration of international co-operative day in Accra.
Albert Akwasi Boakye noted that the current approach by government in its implementation of its flagship programs such as planting for foods and jobs required greater partnerships to make it efficient.
He also stated that his outfit intends to improve the co-operative law to make it flexible.
