The Coalition of Aggrieve Customers of Menzgold (CACM) has written to the Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah requesting to meet the embattled Chief Executive Officer of the Defunct Gold dealership Nana Appiah Mensah.
Nana Appiah Mensah was committed to police custody by an Accra District Court to facilitate investigations into allegations of fraud made by some customers of Menzgold in the wake of his disappearance from the country.
The Menzgold CEO has been in CID custody since arriving in Ghana after months of absence.
In the wake of his arrest, detainment and continuous detention, Radiogoldlive.com has sighted a letter from the Timothy Binob led leadership of Menzgold pleading with the CID Boss allow them meet NAM 1 at exactly 3pm yesterday Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
The meeting according to the leadership of the coalition will enable them “appreciate the issues at hand and guide us in our Arbitration role.”
Even though the leadership of the group turned up at the CID headquarters yesterday, officers refused to entertain them.
The officers told the leadership they would not be granted access because they were engaged in unlawful assembly because of the presence of their members.
The leadership of the group however tells Radiogoldlive.com they are still talking to the police in a bid to arrange the meeting.
