Paris Saint-Germain opened their Champions League campaign in style with a commanding 4–0 victory over Atalanta at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
The French champions wasted no time asserting themselves as Marquinhos struck inside the third minute, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Despite Bradley Barcola missing a first-half penalty, PSG doubled their lead before the break when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia found the net in the 39th minute.
Luis Enrique when asked if his team has the ability to defend the title; “We can do it”, expressing his belief in the squad despite few injuries.
The result highlighted PSG’s attacking depth and balance across the pitch, while Atalanta were left to reflect on a night where they could not cope with the pace and precision of the hosts. For Luis Enrique’s side, it was not just a victory but a statement of intent in their quest for Champions League glory.
