Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, honoured the outgoing Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari for his more than a decade of dedicated diplomatic service and commitment to deepening relations between Ghana and the State of Palestine.

The farewell event attracted a high-level gathering of officials, among them Palestine’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson.
The occasion highlighted the significant role Ambassador Al Sattari has played in promoting mutual understanding, cooperation and goodwill between the two nations over his 11-year tenure.
Addressing the gathering, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang praised the Ambassador’s professionalism and enduring contributions to Ghana–Palestine relations.

“Ghana values the dedication, warmth, and consistency with which he discharged his duties, and the meaningful impact his work has made in our country,” she noted.
She further conveyed the government’s appreciation, extending best wishes to the outgoing envoy as he takes on new responsibilities and reaffirmed Ghana’s confidence in the lasting strength of the bilateral ties he helped to build.
Ambassador Al Sattari’s exit brings to a close a notable chapter in diplomatic relations between Ghana and Palestine one defined by cooperation and solidarity.

His service, however leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue to guide future engagements.
Ghana has reaffirmed its resolve to sustain and build upon the strong partnership established during Ambassador Al Sattari’s tenure, as the farewell ceremony underscored the enduring importance of diplomacy, friendship, and international cooperation.
