The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold Ghana (CACM) has described the press release issued by the Public Relations Officer of Menzgold as shallow.
Menzgold in a statement issued a few days ago, urged government to rescind the international arrest warrant issued against its chief executive officer Nana Appiah Mensah.
According to Menzgold, the warrant was impeding efforts by Nana Appiah Mensah to raise money to pay back the investments of its customers.
CACM however describes the statement as shallow as it leaves many doubts in the minds of its customers as well as fails to address the real issues.
The Coalition further expresses worry about government’s indifference in the matter as it has shown some contradictions in its comments from recent interviews by the Deputy Attorney General which implied that statements made by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Departments (CID) and associates of Menzgold are in opposition.
The aggrieved customers are therefore demanding that Government comes clear with its position on the Interpol warrant and continuous stay of NAM 1 in Dubai.
In addition they are demanding government states its position on the Menzgold issue with respect to payment of customers.
The aggrieved customers also want to be given a detailed account of the assets and bank accounts of NAM 1 and MG and the actions taken against other directors and management members of menzgold who were complicit in what has been described as a scam.
They are also demanding details of how a private jet purportedly owned by the Chief Executive of Menzgold vanished from the shores of Ghana.
