The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi has taken a swipe at the Nana Akufo-Addo led administration over its tendency to blame former President Mahama for its woes.
The NDC Spokesperson was responding to claims by the Education minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh that parents and Junior High School graduates who thronged the complaints center of the Computerized School Placement Program last Monday were bused there by former President Mahama.
Responding to the claims of the Education minister in a press statement, Sammy Gyamfi said Matthew Opoku’s claims exposes an Akufo-Addo government mindset that pointing fingers at former President Mahama would absolve the government of blame for every shortfall of the government.
He believes the government’s tendency to blame John Dramani Mahama for every failure of the government would only compound the woes of the administration.
“It would appear to us, that the Akufo-Addo government and its functionaries still do not know the times we are in.”
“They continue to live in their own world of denial, thinking that by blaming President Mahama and the NDC for everything under the sun, the woes of Ghanaians today which are largely the creation of Akufo-Addo’s clueless leadership will suddenly be addressed.”
