Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the Ambulance case, has spoken to the media for the first time since revealing Attorney General Godfred Dame’s alleged attempt to implicate Minority Leader Cassiel Ato Forson in the case.
In his statement, Jakpa expressed his lack of concern for his personal security, confidently declaring, “I am a gorilla in the jungle, so I’m not afraid of anything.”
He defiantly challenged those who might come after his life, urging them to send professionals rather than amateurs. “If they succeed, fine, but they must bring professionals because if they bring amateurs, it will be a death sentence for them,” Jakpa warned journalists.
Jakpa, known for leaking an audio conversation and WhatsApp chats with the Attorney General to the National Democratic Congress, emphasized his principles and strength. “I know I am a principled man. As to being a strong man, it’s a different ball game,” he asserted.
The leaked audio recordings were played during a press conference, with calls for the Attorney General to resign or face dismissal for allegedly influencing a suspect in an ongoing court case.
In response to the allegations, the Attorney General has denied attempting to incarcerate Ato Forson, stating that he has no arrangement with Richard Jakpa.
